I can't recommend Christopher enough. I don't normally like or wear jewellery (weird, I know!) so after Rob's proposal, the thought of having to traipse up and down the high street looking in dusty shop windows at meaningless engagement rings filled me with dread. Then Rob came up with the idea of getting something bespoke made, so a quick Google search later, and we found CMS. From start to finish the whole process was a complete joy. Christopher designed something quite simple for my fussy tastes, and (importantly for Rob) within our budget. When we first looked at the items on his website we thought that we might be out of our price range, but I am now a proud owner of a bespoke ring, perfectly fitted for me, and within our budget - something we didn't think would be possible. Now I wear it everyday (to Rob and my family's surprise!) and I can't stop looking at the items on the CMS website. I think I may have been converted!

My engagement ring was in need of some tender loving care, however I wanted something I could wear every day without it catching on anything or everything as the original did. So I asked Christopher to design a ring using the original stones that had a degree of modern elegance with classic lines combined with day to day practicality that wouldn’t date. Quite a challenge given the original design however Christopher worked his design magic, added a few more diamonds, completely repolished the emerald and the result speaks for itself, or in a word: WOW! I now have the ring of my dreams which I, and importantly my husband, adore. I wanted to give an eternity ring to my wife as a surprise for her 40th Birthday, but I also wanted her to choose the design. Chris created a voucher in a beautiful presentation box which I gave to Jess. She was definitely surprised and also thrilled because she could be involved in the design over the forthcoming weeks. We wanted a ring that would perfectly complement and fit next to the engagement ring that Chris helped to create a few years ago. We didn’t want something “off the shelf” but a design that would be personal, unique and tailored specifically for us. Chris did exactly that. It was a wonderful process; agreeing a style then Chris creating a design which he then tweaked to our liking, having a wax model created to try on, choosing the stones and metal, then having it individually manufactured and finished – the result was something that we are delighted with and that sits beautifully next to the engagement ring. I had a very clear vision of the ring I was looking for but hadn’t been able to find it anywhere. I therefore produced a very poor sketch of the design I wanted and Christopher used this to produce some very detailed computer images of the ring that could be viewed from every conceivable angle. We then used this to suggest some further changes before Christopher produced a very impressive wax replica of the ring that I could physically try on to ensure I would likely be happy with the finished article. Christopher provided some invaluable advice regarding metal and stone type and quality which made us feel that we truly had a stunning and unique piece of jewellery, but for a very reasonable price.

I had been searching high and low for a jewellery designer that could provide me with a custom ring that would be truly unique. I came to Christopher with nothing more than a sketch and some concepts. We discussed the limitations of the materials and his experience spoke volumes. It took only a week or so to get the first rendered concepts and from these it took very little effort to refine the final design. The actual production of the ring had its complications, as my requirements were technically very demanding, but at every step of the way Christopher put my mind at rest. The end result was a combination of elegance and functionality, the height of good design and most importantly to me completely and utterly unique. I can't commend Christopher highly enough.

I'm delighted with the ring - exactly what I wanted, many friends have "oooooed" and "aaaahhhd" at it - it's certainly unique - one friend said it looked like it had had diamonds rained onto it. It's been a great way of using some very significant stones passed through the family - the biggest diamond was given by my Grandfather to my Grandmother to celebrate the birth of their first daughter (to make up for not being able to afford a good enough engagement ring just before he went to war in 1914 apparently - this ring has now been given to Carolyn) and the others were added by my Aunt, the younger daughter, when she inherited the ring. Christopher clearly know his stuff...he listened to my requests and no detail was too small to incorporate into the design.
